It was another lets see how much sleep we lose marathon capped off by a Saturday spent in and out of bed. Ed, with food of course, was over for Father's Day which was also Nicolas' Day (the day we first met him 19 years ago) so we had a double celebration. It was a beautiful day and night and I hope all Dads got a great day which of course they deserved. I was up for a while which is always a question on the weekends!
Monday has brought the final piece into play. After meeting with Dr. Morris the radiology oncologist, we now know that I will for sure have radiation. That process is scheduled for Sept 15 for the first mapping of my chest wall and the radiation will start the following week. Five days a week for 6.5 weeks. While not a surprise, it is another thing to get comfortable with and work out.
I had a lot of valleys lately and it has reminded me that this is a long journey and not a sprint. It is hard to be positive sometimes, but that t is the best elixir for me. When my glass starts looking have empty, I have to remind myself it is half full! On the bright side, we are sitting with 4 little chemos to go!!!! That is something to celebrate!
Enjoy the sun, buy a fan and get ready for the heat!
Keep on movin
Jill
