That is where I am today. First, hot. For you non Seattle people, we have had weather in the the 90s for the past few days and it is expected to continue thru the week. How I long for even an attic fan!! We do have a standing air conditioner in our bedroom which now resembles the sleeping room at the Beta house when we all crowd in at night with the dog! I have my two remaining chemos with the killer hopefully wounded beyond belief lurking inside. It will be my killer that gets taken out!
My humor has improved even sweating like I am on a chain gang. At my visit, my numbers were good and the only comments were regarding the 1/2 pound I had lost. Now mind you, the thirty that I have dropped has not been a big issue, but the nurses had perked up over this lost after I had plateaued for a while. Let me ask you how much you eat when you are a sweat machine!! I think water alone could account for that! I am still in my "Rubenesque" form, so losing weight is something that needs to continue!
My dear friend, Jenny Litzow, the Senator's wife, picked me up with a Venti Passion Tea Lemonade. I had never had one (I know it is a shock since it is from Starbucks) and I loved it. A new summer drink for me with no caffeine to aid the Barry Bonds steroids hopping inside. I went to the swim meet that night and announced and got to bed about 3. We increased the steroids as I would rather be awake than sick. I slept a little later on Friday and that seems to have kept me somewhat upright this weekend. Lets see if I watch the fireworks or am found sleeping in Carla and Jim's bed while everyone else waves the American flag with glee.
The countdown continues and the end is in sight!! We are nearly at the end of this chapter. Lets pray that the rest of the story continues as well as the start. In the words of my friend, Maryellen, I love my family, my friends and my country! Happy 4th!
